Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has expressed his excitement about the prospect of playing with France forward Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe was announced as Real Madrid player following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer. He will be unveiled at Santiago Bernabeu after Euro 2024.
Rodrygo who is currently training with the Brazilian national team for the Copa America in the United States emphasised that it would always be a pleasure to team up with Mbappe.
According to Rodrygo, he considers Mbappe one of the best players in the world.
“For me, it’s a pleasure to play with Mbappe, I always made it very clear. He’s going to help our team a lot, he’s going to help make it even stronger than it already is,” said the forward as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

The arrival of Mbappe will see Rodrygo face limited game time, however, the Brazilian international remains optimistic and prefers to focus on his current role with the national team.
It is always a pleasure, but now is not the time to divert the focus, I want to be focused on the national team.
“Mbappe is also playing the (European) championship with his national team and I want to be focused here.
“But always making it clear that it is a pleasure and a dream to play with one of the best in the world,” he added.
Rodrygo will be eager to replicate the success he had with Real Madrid last season with the Brazilian national team. However, they will be facing a stiff competition from the likes of Argentina.
