‘It’s not impossible’: Arsenal given the greenlight to sign Neymar

Premier League side Arsenal have been given the greenlight to sign Brazilian superstar Neymar this summer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

Neymar has endured a horror spell since moving to Saudi Arabia, playing just a handful of games for Al-Hilal before a major injury struck.

Though the Brazil hasn’t played for Al Hilal since sustaining the injury, they went on to claim the domestic title in dominant fashion.

Former Arsenal player Gilberto Silva believes a summer transfer that sees Neymar playing for the Gunners is “not impossible”.

According to Silva, Neymar’s arrival at Arsenal will bring joy to the club fans and make the Premier League more competitive.

Gilberto told Bet365 : “I’d love to see Neymar in the Premier League with Arsenal, it would be interesting that’s for sure. It would bring a lot of joy to fans and make the competition even more special. When you look at the Premier League, we want to see the best players in the world and to have him around would be great. Let’s see. It’s not impossible that he could join Arsenal, why not.”

Now 32 years old, Neymar is enjoying his first year away from Europe since joining Barcelona back in 2013. The Brazilian has previously been prolific during his career, claiming numerous titles for club and country.

Arsenal are in the market for more firepower this summer and have been linked with top players like Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak.
