Arsenal offered Liverpool flop in transfer swap for versatile defender

Arsenal will be offered the chance to work with former Liverpool flop Arthur Melo as Juventus plans to involve him in a deal that will bring Jakub Kiwior to Italy.

Juventus are eager to strengthen their squad this summer and the club are looking at various options available.

One player that has continued to be linked with the Seria A giant is Kiwior who has been a bit part player for Arsenal since he arrived at the Emirates Stadium in January 2023.

Kiwior has now become a top target for Juventus who believes he can still play at the highest level. Juve wants to sign the Poland international but the Serie A giant have reservations over his price tag.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal will likely demand a fee in the region of £20million – money Juventus don’t have.

However, Juventus are planning to involve Melo in the deal. Surplus to requirements at Juventus, Melo will be offered as part of the deal.

Melo spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Liverpool but things didn’t work out. He managed just one senior appearance but Arsenal could provide another opportunity.

It’s left to see if Mikel Arteta will sanction the deal with Arsenal eager to build a squad capable of challenging for the trophy next season.
