Dominik Szoboszlai sends strong message to next Liverpool manager

Dominik Szoboszlai has sent a strong message to the next Liverpool manager as the Premier League side begins life after Jurgen Klopp next season.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he’ll be leaving Liverpool after nine years come the end of the season. The German tactician has now left a gap that must be filled.

The likes of Xabi Alonso has been linked to to job but Dominik Szoboszlai who is enjoying a fine season under Jurgen Klopp believes anyone replacing the German will be supported.

Szoboszlai stated that any manager who replace Klopp will be adored. He also revealed the impact Klopp played when he wanted to join the reds.

The Hungary international said: “If Liverpool want to sign you, you’re not thinking about anything (else). But having Jurgen Klopp as the manager is an extra (lure), of course. He called me, we had a good talk before I signed and he said he wants me and I said I want to join you, so it’s a quick decision.

“This is football, this is how it works. He’s going to leave and have some break and enjoy his life. He’s done this (the Liverpool job) for a very long time. We don’t know who is coming next but we are ready – it doesn’t matter who is coming.”

Szoboszlai has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at Liverpool, scoring seven goals and contributing four assists in 36 games.

Having won the Carabao Cup, Szoboszlai will be eager to end the season on a high by winning the Premier League and the Europa League.
