Former Bayern Munich coach pushing to be next Barcelona manager

Xavi Hernandez

Barcelona is considering sacking Xavi Hernandez at the end of the season with the Catalonia club on the lookout for a new manager.

Xavi Hernandez’s future at Barcelona has been under heavy scrutiny just days after he changed his decision to leave the club at the end of the season.

Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta is reportedly not pleased with some comments made by Xavi Hernandez and would love him to leave when the season comes to an end.

Topping the list of the Spanish tactician replacement is former Bayern Munich manager, Hansi Flick.

In fact, reports earlier today suggested that Deco and Bojan Krkic were meeting the German tactician in London, although some other outlets have dismissed those claims.

Reports from popular transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano also revealed that the sextuple-winning former Bayern Munich boss is pressing hard for a move to Barça.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany manager was allegedly very close to taking over the helm last month before Xavi performed a U-turn and decided to continue.

However, with the current situation, Flick seems eager to land the job and is even turning down proposals from the Premier League to end up as the next Barcelona head coach.

Also on the list of Xavi Hernandez’s possible replacements are Rafa Marquez and Thomas Tuchel. Thiago Motta was also linked but he is now close to joining Juventus.
