‘He deserves more respect’: Saka names Brazilian star the most underrated player

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has named former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar as the most underrated player in the world.

Saka has established himself as a hugely important player for both Arsenal and England and is currently featuring at Euro 2024.

Undoubtedly one of the best in his position, Saka has been receiving recognition for his skills on and off the pitch. However, the winger believes that there is one player who deserves more recognition.

Quizzed about which player should get more respect, Saka noted that Neymar is the most underrated player in the world.

Saka told talkSPORT: ‘I think people talk about him but he should be spoken about more. He deserves more respect than he gets, personally that’s what I feel.’

Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain to join Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabia for a transfer fee of €90 million ($98.6m) but has struggled with injuries.

His latest injury saw him miss the ongoing Copa America. However, the 32-year-old boost of over 100 caps for Brazil and an array of trophies at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Known for his flair, Neymar is the Brazil national team’ all-time record goalscorer having found the net on 79 occasions. At Barcelona Neymar won the Champions League, two LaLiga titles and three Copa Del Reys.

During his time at PSG he won five Ligue 1 titles as well as winning the Coupe de France three times and the Coupe de la Ligue twice.
