Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has shared his opinion on fellow Frenchman and future teammate with the Spanish giant, Ferland Mendy.
Mendy and Mbappe are currently with the France squad preparing for Euro 2024.
Speaking about Mendy, Mbappe noted that the Real Madrid defender is “a man full of humility, yet sure of his strength.”
He also talked about how playing well for a team like Real Madrid is good for anyone’s career and helps their chances of making the national team.
While speaking to Ouest-France, Mbappe said: “Ferland Mendy has a special history with the national team: He’s been here, he’s left, and he’s coming back for this Euro. His place is fully deserved. He has all the qualities needed to play for the national team. All he has to do now is write his history over the long term.”

Mbappe also talked about what Mendy has to do to succeed with France, while also praising his performances for Real Madrid.
“This will be his first major tournament with France,” said the Frenchman. “It’s up to him to play for the national team in the same way as he does for Real Madrid. If he succeeds, there’s no reason why things shouldn’t work out.
“He’s a very solid player. Being a consistent starter at Real Madrid for all these years is the best kind of CV. We still don’t know each other very well, but we will soon be able to do so, both with the national team and Real Madrid.”
Mbappe will be performing his role as France captain in a major tournament for the first time and will be eager to help the team succeed.
France play Austria on 17 June to commence their Euro 2024 campaign. They are ranked among the favorites but face a stiff competition from England, Portugal, Belgium and host country, Germany.
