Jurgen Klopp linked with Bundesliga club in new role

Liverpool are currently working on securing a new manager with Jurgen Klopp set to leave the Premier League side at the end of the season.

Though Klopp has insisted he’s taking some time out, reports have claimed the German tactician will make a sensational return to Borussia Dortmund as ‘head of football’ in 2025.

According to the Independent, there is ‘talk’ of Klopp heading back to Dortmund in a new capacity next summer, potentially returning as their ‘head of football’.

Klopp managed Dortmund for seven years between 2008 and 2015, winning two Bundesliga titles, leading them to a Champions League final and turning them back into the European heavyweights they are today.

The German club under the management of Edin Terzic, Dortmund have reached this season’s Champions League semi-finals and are willing to build on that progress.

Dortmund have not been in the Champions League semi-final since Klopp took them to the 2013 final. They will be facing a tough opponent in Paris Saint-Germain when both side meet in the semi-finals of 2023/24 Champions League.
