Juventus eye versatile Arsenal defender as Thiago Motta’s first signing

As Juventus fans continue to await the arrival of Thiago Motta as their new manager, the club are preparing to sign Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior as his first signing.

Juventus parted ways with Massimiliano Allegri before the end of 2023/24 season and are on the verge of signing Thiago Motta from Bologna.

Motta is set to start a new project at Juventus and has identified some players that will suit his style of play. Latest report from Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb has now linked Kiwior to the Seria A giant.

According to the publication, Motta has specifically asked Juventus to sign Kiwior, a player he managed for one season at Spezia.

Kiwior moved from Spezia to Arsenal in January 2023 and the Poland international has made 38 appearances across all competitions. His lack of playing time at Arsenal might convince him to leave.

Although the Pole’s natural position is in the central area of the defense, he has started the majority of his games for the Gunners as a left-back.

At Spezia, the situation was similar. He was signed by the Italian team in August 2021, and for the majority of the matches, Motta used him as a holding midfielder.

Motta is willing to bring out the best in his former player and Juventus are planning to submit a bid in the next few days.
