Liverpool handed new quadruple injury boost ahead of Premier League showdown

Liverpool players during training

Liverpool’s quest to win the Premier League has been given a huge boost with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker and Stefan Bajcetic returning to training.

The reds have been struggling with injuries for the past few months. However, they’ve been able to pile pressure on Arsenal and Manchester City.

Alexander-Arnold has not featured for the reds since he got injured against Burnley on February 10 while Jota has not featured since being stretchered off in the 4-1 win at Brentford a week later.

Alisson last played in the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal on February 4 having sustained a serious hamstring problem while Stefan Bajcetic has also been struggling with injury.

All four players have now returned to full training ahead of the reds Europa League quarter-final tie against Serie A side Atalanta at Anfield.

Liverpool will face Atalanta on Thursday before shifting their attention to the Premier League where they face Fulham, Everton, West Ham, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Wolves.

Jurgen Klopp will be glad to have his top players back on the green grass. Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip remain the only first team player yet to recover from their injuries.
