Liverpool’s £69m target likely to be sold this summer, could replace Mo Salah

Liverpool have been given a green light in their pursuit of Juventus forward Federico Chiesa after it emerged the Italy international could be allowed this summer.

The Reds have been linked to Chiesa in the past but have failed to reach an agreement with Juventus. However, the arrival of Thiago Motta as Juventus coach is about to change the situation.

According to Sky Sport in Italy, incoming Juventus manager Thiago Motta doesn’t currently have Chiesa in his plans for next season.

Chiesa currently has just one year left on his existing deal and this summer could present the opportune moment for Juventus to cash in.

The report claimed clubs in Italy are monitoring the situation but Liverpool will also try to sort out a deal if the opportunity shows forth.

Liverpool are considering signing Chiesa as a direct replacement for Mohamed Salah who has been linked with a move out of the Premier League side.

Chiesa could prove the perfect replacement for the Egyptian forward as his record for club and country proves he’s a reliable player.

In 131 appearances for the Old Lady, Chiesa has registered an impressive 55 contributions, demonstrating he’d be able to plug the goal gap left behind if Salah departs.

The Euro 2020 winner is expected to cost as much as £69million and Liverpool will have to break the bank to secure his signature.
