Luis Diaz drops major hint on his Liverpool future amid Barcelona transfer rumours

Liverpool forward, Luis Diaz has given a clear indication about his future with the Premier League side amidst transfer rumours linking him to Barcelona.

Barcelona are reportedly in signing Luiz Diaz with Xavi Hernandez willing to build his team around the Columbia international.

Though Barcelona are struggling financially, reports claimed the Spanish side will work out a deal with Liverpool.

Luiz Diaz has now clarify his stance, noting that he is very happy at Anfield.

Speaking to the club website, Diaz said: “You learn more and more to be a professional, to be a better person, to be a good teammate and a good guy.

“The truth is that I am very happy to be here. Great years are coming for the club, I have no doubt about that.

“Personally, I will always try to do my best, always try to give 100 per cent, to always stand out on the field, which is what I came [here] to do. I’m always grateful to God for every opportunity.”

Luiz Diaz’s Liverpool contract runs until the summer of 2027. The 27-year-old Colombian has been at Anfield since January 2022.

Liverpool paid a reported £37.5m with £12.5m in add-ons to FC Porto for his services and has since become an important player in the squad.
