Man United to raise over £80m as club prepare departure of three players

Manchester United are prepared to open the exit door for three top players this summer as they plan to raise as much as £80m from their sale.

The Premier League club are hoping for a new start under Erik ten Hag next season after he was given another opportunity by the club board.

Erik ten Hag will not be sacked despite United ending 2023/24 season on the eighth spot. Instead, United’s board will be backing the Dutch tactician in the transfer window.

Latest report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now tipped three Manchester United players ‘to leave’ the Premier League giants this summer.

According to Romano, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Casemiro are likely to “leave” as it will be “important United sell some players”.

“This summer will be important with the feeling at the club being that this summer they can’t fail on the transfer market,” Romano said in his Daily Briefing column.

“Financial Fair Play is an issue, so United can’t do crazy things on the market, and Ten Hag knows that, but it’s important to sell some players.

“Jadon Sancho is available on the market, Mason Greenwood as well, Juventus are there and United will try to find a solution, while others will leave on a free and Casemiro is someone who could leave the club, so there will be a lot of movement there.”

Jadon Sancho has been linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund, however, the Bundesliga side may struggle to match Man Utd’s £40m asking price.

On the other hand, Greenwood has been become a top target for Serie A giants Juventus. He is highly rated in Italy and they are willing to reach an agreement with United.

Casemiro has also been linked to clubs in Saudi Arabia and MLS. The Brazilian midfielder is open to a move after facing criticism over his performances last season.
