Mikel Arteta likely to miss Arsenal’s title decider match against Everton

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could miss their final game of the 2023/24 Premier League season against Everton.

The Gunners are going head-to-head with Manchester City for the title and there are high probability that the title winner will be decided on the final day.

Arsenal sit one point ahead of second-place City but have played one game more, and are counting on their title rivals to slip up during their remaining three matches.

Arsenal travel to Manchester United this Sunday before taking on Everton at the Emirates and Mikel Arteta might have to sit out of the last match.

The Spaniard has already picked up five yellow cards and if he gets one more, he will be forced to serve a one-game suspension.

Mikel Arteta will have to compose himself against Manchester United so as not to leave his team behind when they face Everton the following week.

Renowned for his passionate response on the touchline, Arteta has already had to sit out one game due to suspension, as he missed the 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa in December.

The former Manchester City assistant coach will have to be careful to avoid collecting another yellow card during their highly-anticipated trip to United this weekend.

Arsenal are going into the match full of confidence as they recorded their fourth straight league victory by dispatching Bournemouth 3-0 last Saturday.
