Nacho to snub MLS move, set for reunion with former Madrid star

Real Madrid captain Nacho has reportedly snubbed an opportunity to move to MLS in favour of a reunion with Karim Benzema at Al-Ittihad.

Nacho’s contract with Real Madrid will end this month and has been linked with a move away from his boyhood club.

The Spanish international is willing to try something new in a club that’s not in Europe. However, he has decided not to join the likes of Lionel Messi in the MLS.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nacho is in advanced talks to join the Saudi Pro League side.

Romano revealed that Nacho has made up his mind and is close to joining Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Arabian league.

Nacho joined Real Madrid youth system at the age of 10 and has spent his entire career with the Spanish giants. Over the years, he has become a crucial figure in the squad, earning respect for his versatility and leadership.

The Spain international led Real Madrid to UEFA Champions League and La Liga title last season. Nacho’s trophy cabinet consists of 26 major titles, including six Champions League trophies and four La Liga championships.

Nacho made his senior debut under Jose Mourinho in 2011, has played 363 games, scored 16 goals, and provided 10 assists.
