Napoli to make decision on Victor Osimhen price tag as Conte waits for Lukaku

Victor Osimhen has continued to be linked with a move away from Napoli this summer with Antonio Conte eager to bring in Romelu Lukaku as his replacement.

Osimhen penned a new contract with the Partenopei back in December that included a €120-130m release clause.

However, despite interest from Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, none have been able to activate the release clause.

Though some Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested in the Nigerian forward, Osimhen is dreaming of a move to the Premier League but his price tag has been a stumbling block.

Latest report from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com have now suggested that Napoli still haven’t received any offers for Osimhen and are willing to listen to proposals in the region of around €100m as they look to cash in on the striker this summer.

Conte quickly identified Lukaku as one of his primary targets ahead of the new season, but a deal for the Chelsea striker can’t be completed until the Napoli forward is sold, leaving things on standby.

Osimhen has grown to become one of the best forwards in football, proving himself for club and country.

Chelsea are not willing to do a swap deal involving Lukaku and Osimhen. The Premier League side are looking at selling Lukaku and bringing in a striker of their choice.
