Pep Guardiola expected to leave Manchester City in 2025

Pep Guardiola will reportedly leave Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest managers in football history, Guardiola led City to their fourth consecutive Premier League title this season an confirmed his intention to remain in Manchester next season.

The Spanish tactician who was formerly coach of Barcelona and Bayern Munich will now leave his role at the end of next season.

According to an exclusive report from the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola is ready to move on next summer as he seeks a new adventure.

Though there has been no formal notification from Manchester City, sources indicated that City hierarchy are already looking at his replacement options, with Girona’s Michel Sanchez the No.1 pick.

The clubs are linked via the City Football Group with Girona set for a first ever UEFA Champions League campaign in 2024/25.

Pep Guardiola since journey Manchester City has turned the club into a powerhouse. City this season won the Premier League but were defeated in the FA Cup final by Man United.

City also fell short in their attempt to win another trophy treble, after losing out to old foes Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals.

Despite winning one trophy this season, City are keen to retain Guardiola beyond his current deal, but the former Barcelona boss has the flexibility to make the final call, with talks ongoing.

It’s left to see if Guardiola will reverse his decision. The former Bayern Munich manager will be leaving Man City a season after Jurgen Klopp ended his nine years reign at Liverpool.
