Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are set for faceoff for the signature of Liverpool midfielder, Thiago Alcantara.
Thiago Alcantara will leave Liverpool as a free agent in the summer transfer window and has since been linked with a surprise move to Barcelona and Real Madrid.
According to Fichajes, both Spanish side are willing to go head to head for the signature of Thiago who endured a difficult spell at Liverpool.

Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich star, Thiago Alcantara endured a difficult spell at Liverpool as the Spanish star midfielder failed to stay fit.
The 33-year-old will be hoping to get over his injury problems and make his mark at a big club next season. Barcelona are seeking a new midfielder as they hope to challenge for trophies next season.
Thiago will come for free and Barcelona hope they will be able to convince their former player. Real Madrid on the other hand are looking for Toni Kroos replacement.
Toni Kroos will retire after Euro 2024 and Real Madrid hope to replace with a player who has experience playing in the Spanish league.
Thiago will come cheap for any club he decides to play for but Barcelona are reportedly the favourite due to his past with the Spanish side. Alcantara is a boyhood Barcelona fan, and his ties with the Catalan club might prevent any potential move to Real Madrid.
