Real Madrid are looking at strengthening their defense line by bringing in Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich, however, they are not willing to let go Ferland Mendy.
According to a latest report from Marca, Real Madrid have made it a priority to tie Ferland Mendy down to a new contract.
Mendy shacked off his injury history to play an important role under Carlo Ancelotti last season. The 29-year-old retained his place in the team and was instrumental in the Champions League and La Liga title win.

Though Madrid are still linked with Bayern Munich’s Davies who will compete with Mendy, Marca reported that a new contract proposal is already on the table for Mendy.
Although there is no agreement, there is harmony between the two parties and a desire to reach an agreement before the club season kicks off with the European Super Cup.
Mendy’s contract expires in 2025 and the France international is likely to be rewarded with another three years contract.
One player who might be making a way out of Santiago Bernabeu if Mendy signs a new contract and Davies joins from Bayern Munich is Fran Garcia.
The left-back returned to the club last year but lost prominence in the latter half of the season and could end up being sacrificed in the summer.
Premier League side Bournemouth are reportedly interested in bringing him to England and are hoping to secure a deal before the start of pre-season.
