Arda Guler continued his good form in front of goal scoring twice in Real Madrid’s thrilling 4-4 draw against Villarreal on Saturday.

Despite not playing most of the season due to injury problems, Guler has hit the ground running with impressive performances in the past few weeks.

Guler’s amazing two-goal performance against Villarreal in a thrilling 4-4 draw has now seen him bag a new record ahead of Barcelona’s youngster, Lamine Yamal.

The young Turkish playmaker goal against Villarreal brought his total to six La Liga goals. With this, Guler surpassed Lamine Yamal, who has five goals in the league.

Guler’s form has been impressive likewise his scoring rate in the league. He has scored a goal every 63 minutes, having played a total of 373 minutes in the league.

Meanwhile, Yamal takes 427 minutes to score a goal, with more than 2,000 minutes of playing time.

While Guler has more goals than Yamal, he does not offer more than the Barcelona star this season. Yamal has eight assists, making his total goal contributions in the league 13.

Both youngsters have been able to prove themselves and fans are eager to see what awaits them next season.

Barcelona plan to build their team around Yamal. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, who were uncertain about Guler’s future not long ago, are now excited to see more from the young Turkish player.
