Report: Liverpool submit £100million bid for Real Madrid forward

Liverpool have reportedly made a £100million bid to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid as they hope to strengthen their forward line ahead of 2024/25 season.

Rodrygo has continued to be linked with a move out of Real Madrid following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe is set to become Madrid’s poster boy after arriving in Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer from PSG. His arrival means Rodrygo might see limited game time.

Rodrygo will also face stiff competition from Brazil wonderkid Endrick who will also officially join next month.

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool have made a bid worth £100m for Rodrygo but Real Madrid have ‘rejected’ the offer and want £26m more.

Report claimed Madrid are willing to sell the 23-year-old but only for the right price and the right price is apparently €150million (£126m).

Rodrygo might consider leaving Madrid this summer if he’s not promised a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. The Brazilian is under contract for another four years and has a lot of clubs monitoring his situation.

Manchester City are also believed to be keeping tabs on his situation and the 23-year-old’s future could see Madrid make a bid for their star player, Erling Haaland.

It’s set to be a busy summer for Real Madrid with the club set to make decisive decisions on some players.
