Robertson shades Liverpool forwards after shock Crystal Palace defeat

Liverpool defender, Andy Robertson has laid blame firmly at the door of Liverpool’s forwards after they were beaten by Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Despite going into the match as favourite, Liverpool failed to keep up the pressure on Arsenal and Man City as they lost to Crystal Palace.

Despite creating numerous chances, Eberechi Eze’s first-half goal earned Palace all three points on Merseyside.

Speaking after the match, Robertson criticised his team-mate’s wastefulness in front of goal, which he acknowledged hasn’t just been a problem on Sunday.

According to Robertson, Liverpool had the chances to win two or three games in the second half. However, they were not clinical enough.

He said: “We’re struggling to keep clean sheets right now but we’re still creating opportunities and when you do that, you have to take them, it’s as simple as that. The boys in front of goal have to do better.”

Liverpool are currently going through a bad time in front of goal, Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to score at home against Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday as they were beaten 3-0.

Jurgen Klopp will be eager to see his team back on the score sheet when Liverpool travel to Italy to face Atlanta in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash.
