Ten Hag reveals how Rashford will react to Euro 2024 heartbreak

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed how Marcus Rashford will react to his omission from the squad representing England at the 2024 Euros.

Marcus Rashford was left out of the 33-man provisional squad set to represent England at the summer tournament in Germany after a disappointing season with the Red Devils.

Despite being a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England team, Rashford run of eight goals this season saw him dropped for Euro 2024.

With United now set to face Man City in the FA Cup final, Ten Hag spoke about Rashford’s frame of mind ahead of United’s final game of the season.

“He looks good,” said Erik.

“A career has ups and downs and a down can also give you fuel and that is what I see in training.

“So he will be highly motivated and, as you said, speak with your feet. He is very talented and already has a big career, and I am sure he will get over this and make even more goals.”

Rashford has not started any match since United’s last game at Wembley – a dramatic semi-final against Coventry. However, fans will be hoping he discover his good form against Man City.

The United Academy graduate scored a wonderful goal against City the last time the two teams met, and has netted six times against the Blues across his senior career.
