Victor Osimhen expecting Arsenal summer bid after Chelsea surprise pull out

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is reportedly waiting for Arsenal transfer bid as he seeks a move away from Napoli this summer.

Victor Osimhen has been linked with various clubs in Europe with Chelsea reportedly interested in the Nigerian forward. However, Chelsea’s interest have cooled off in recent days with their new manager expected to make a decision.

Latest report have now claimed the 25-years-old is expecting an approach from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen believes the Gunners will express interest due to their need for a new striker, although no official interest has been registered yet.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is expected to demand the €130million (£110.7m) release clause in Osimhen’s contract be met by any interested clubs.

While anticipating an offer from Arsenal, Osimhen is also open to proposals from Saudi Arabia, should any ambitious clubs from the Saudi Pro League attempt to secure his services.

Arsenal are currently on the lookout for a new striker. Kai Havertz was played in that role last season but Arteta wants a recognized forward who can do the scoring.

Osimhen led Napoli to Serie A glory last season and has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain however it is rumoured he prefers the Premier League.
