Why Madrid will knockout Man City despite playing at Etihad – Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has revealed why the Spanish team will knockout Manchester City to proceed to the semi-final of 2023/24 Champions League.

Manchester City played out a 3-3 draw with Real Madrid when both teams met at Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

With City known for not losing at home, Carlo Ancelotti believe his team can pull off a historical victory in England.

Speaking after Real Madrid’s victory over Mallorca on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti said: “On Wednesday vs Man City, we will win not because of our fitness, but because of our attitude.”

The Italian tactician also revealed that Antonio Rudiger will start the game at City unlike last season when he was left on the bench.

”Rüdiger will certainly be a starter in the match against City. Ancelotti added”

Ancelotti will be relying on Rudiger to keep Erling Haaland quiet during the match as both players continue their battle on the pitch.

Haaland was back on the scoring sheet when Manchester City defeated Luton Town on Saturday as they pile pressure on Arsenal and Liverpool.
