Youngster likened to Cesc Fabregas called up to Arsenal training ahead of Everton clash

Arsenal are preparing for their final game of the season against Everton, a win will see the Gunners lift the 2023/24 Premier League trophy only if Manchester City lose to West Ham United.

With Mikel Arteta eager to get all three points, work has started at the club training ground. Arteta has been putting his players through their paces in training, with their Tuesday session taking place at Arsenal’s stadium.

Spotted amongst the players was a young and tireless midfielder who has been likened to Cesc Fabregas.

Arteta called one of the club academy player to join training on Tuesday. The player in question is Jack Henry-Francis, who has been in good form for the Under-21s this season.

Jack Henry-Francis joined Arsenal from Fulham aged 12, and has risen through the ranks to become a fixture for the Under-21s.

The youngster has received praises from those in the club and he shot to prominence with a superb performance for the first-team against Hibernian in pre-season in 2021.

Arsenal youth team expert Jeorge Bird has described him as a ‘midfielder who is capable of breaking up play and initiating attacks’.

While the official Gunners website describes the 20-year-old as a ‘box-to-box, energetic’ midfielder who is ‘aggressive and tenacious in the tackle’.

Jeorge Bird also added that Henry-Francis ‘often brings a lot of energy with his performances and is very hard working’.

It’s still unclear if he’ll make the team sheet on Sunday when Arsenal face but Everton but fans are likely to see him around next season.
